I Am Mom

Dear little Angela officially began potty training today. The time is never “just right” for this endeavor, but she’s been patiently waiting for ME to be ready. We had both success and some instances to learn from. In the past few days I’ve noticed that Angela calls me “Mom.” Not odd, you say. But, all the others call me “Mama.” Never something we tried, it just shaped up this way. And I like it. To hear Angela call me “Mom” feels like I’m talking to a much older little girl. Come to think of it, she often sounds older. As I explained at one potty break, “No treat because the pants are not dry,” she replied, “Oh, well.” And the other day when she accidentally broke Cyrus’ folding ruler, she shrugged and explained to me, “Buy ‘nother one.” What a fun little girl!

ben announced a few weeks ago that he was going to start calling me mom (instead of mama). when i responded with a sad little “oh…ok” he quickly said “only some times, but not all the times.” :)

Thanks, Head. I appreciate you missing my blogginess. I missed it, too. I just need to keep aware of how much of my time goes into it. I think I can, I think I can. :o ) Hope you’re having a good time on your way to Mickey!

Well, I’m glad you’re blogging again too…Is there any way to access your “old” pictures?? I am not sure what my project for my class is going to look like, but if they’re still available, I would browse them to see if anything in particular jumped out at me…the actual project is show a philosophical analysis (not descriptive or prescriptive) of three educational reform movements…with one being dominant…using slides, video, music, and voiceovers…and yes it will be as hard as it sounds! I am trying conceive the vision and then I will be dealing with the techno part…

Yes! If you are on our current blog, at the left is a link called “the old blog.” That’ll take you to where I left off on the other blog. As you scroll down, you can browse all two to three years of posts by clicking on the VERY miniscule arrow at the bottom of the page. On the old blog there is also a “category cloud” on the right hand side, if you want to browse by category. Hope this helps. Your project sounds interesting, and once you’re through that research part, I’m sure the techie part will be easy in comparison!
